Rose Riebl is a pianist and post-classical composer who has been teaching piano for nearly 20 years. Her work as a performer and composer has taken her across the globe, with highlights including scoring an Emmy Award-winning film, writing an opera, being featured on a Nils Frahm compilation, and collaborating with Björk’s artistic director, as well as other extraordinary, world-class musicians.
She brings this wealth of experience to her teaching, taking an artist-centric approach that prioritises tone, technique, and expression over excessive theory or academic requirements. Her students learn how to create a beautiful sound at the instrument, explore improvisation, and compose their own pieces. Lessons go beyond the notes — delving into the story of each piece and uncovering what we are trying to express through music.
